Turbo Texas Hold'em Version 6

New Features Added:

Extensive work has been done to improve the advice and quality of play. Advice is situation specific and is based on many factors. Your hand, your position, the status of the pot and the number of opponents with money in the pot are major considerations. Advice is then further customized based on the type of game. This means that V6 gives tailored advice which is different for loose, passive games than it is for loose, aggressive games or for average games or for tight, aggressive games, etc. Dramatic increases in effectiveness have resulted in 40% to 75+% increase in profitability as compared to V5.

Learn how to beat the rake. Rake reduces profitability and affects the playability of some hands. As the rake goes up, all hands show a drop in profit. However, weaker hands lose a lot more percentage wise than stronger hands. The impact of rake is more severe at lower limits. To help you understand this and to enable you to overcome the impact of the rake, advice in V6 not only takes into account all of the factors described above, it was further customized for games with and without rake at specific betting limits. This information is shown on the advisor screens.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been expanded including observing and adjusting to your playing style and that of your opponents.

The "Begin a new game" option and the "Challenge the Advisor" feature have each been expanded to allow you to choose the level of competition. There are nine different choices:

1. A low limit and very passive game
2. A low limit and passive game
3. A loose and very passive game
4. A loose and passive game
5. A loose and aggressive game
6. An average and passive game
7. An average and aggressive game
8. A tight and aggressive game
9. A game using the current lineup. This lets you customize any game.

Learning how to read your opponents (also called an Awareness Contest) is an important new feature. The Contest is similar to playing a challenge. For each Contest, you play a fixed number of hands. During the Contest, you should concentrate less on winning money and more on what's going on at the table in general and on the actions of each opponent. There are two levels of awareness: 1. Awareness of the nature of the overall game 2. Awareness of the style of each opponent

60 different player faces were created and added to the program for optional use.

Custom graphics have been added for more screen resolutions. New graphics include card table, cards, chips and player faces (see below). Older versions supported 3 resolutions, now there are 8:

640x480
800x600
1024x768
1280x800
1280x1024
1600x1200
1680x1050
1920x1200

• You can select a lower screen resolution so the program will not occupy the full screen.

Sidewinder Sid (optional feature) speaks better (no delays) on Win XP and Vista systems.

• Added ability to turn off unlimited heads•up raising.

• New intro "movie"

"Ask anyone what the best training software for poker players is, and you'll get one answer: Wilson's."

About Turbo Texas Hold'em

Three modules are included with Turbo Texas Hold'em

1. Profile - Create players with individual playing styles! Modify the playing styles of included players or create your own players. No programming skills are required. Extensive control over play based on type of hands, position and reaction to the board. The profile modules are custom designed for each of the different poker games.

2. Lineup - Choose which players you want in the game. Create a loose game, a tight game, etc. to simulate the games you typically play in.

3. The game itself - Turbo Texas Hold'em. Play with 2 to 10 players, control the nature of the game; fixed or spread limit, blind and bet amounts, etc. Stack the deck to create special situations. Statistical reporting includes analysis of starting cards, 3-D bar charts and graphs. The stats can be saved to disk. Play interactively, with features like instant replay, or run high speed simulation to test different strategies.

Skills Challenges: Test your playing skills against the Advisor in the "Challenge Mike" contest and new in Turbo Texas Hold'em version 6: Test how well you can read your opponents using the three Awareness Challenges.

Custom Hand Analyzers are built into each of the Turbo Poker games. The results are quite different from those obtained using "dumb" simulation techniques. In a real game, players bet, call, raise, reraise, fold, etc. based on the value of their hands, the nature of the board and their playing style. All of our Hold'em Texas Turbo games do this as well. The computer players act like real players. The results are much more accurate than analyzers which have no betting or folding.

Other Features Include: Get advice and exact odds as you play. Set blinds, bet amounts, rake, toke, etc. Challenge the best computer player. Play evaluation with Sidewinder Sid, peek at other player's cards, replay hands. Enhanced graphics, sound, printing, and statistics. Ability to save and restore games in progress. Windows 95 through Win XP, Vista or Mac with Virtual PC.

Turbo Texas Hold'em: $59.95 - Significant discounts are available to owners of older versions of Turbo Texas Hold'em. (Note: Spread Limit & Fixed Limit Only.)
